A Laugh A Day: Stinky Cheese

After Isaiah woke from his nap, we each enjoyed a piece of Swiss cheese. Isla woke up soon after. She was happy to see us, at first. Then she sniffed and asked in a disgusted tone, "What is that smell? It really stinks." I told her that it must be my breath because Isaiah and I had eaten stinky cheese. I offered her a piece, which she adamantly refused. She then, so pitifully and sadly, whined, "You can't be in here, you stink."

A Laugh A Day: Booty Shake

Tampa Trip

In May, we were lucky enough to visit the Archibalds in Tampa before they moved. (They are now living in Spokane, so now we get to visit them there sometime!) It was fun to hang out with the boys. They are hilarious. The weather was warm and beautiful, the beaches were clean with sand like powdered sugar, and "Harry Potter Land" in Orlando was nerdy fun for Brett and me. 

Ok, I know that giant turkey legs are readily available at most theme parks, but these were MAGICAL giant turkey legs from Hogsmeade. And the Butterbeer. Oh the Butterbeer. It's like creamy butterscotch soda. Pumpkin juice was ok too, a little strong for my taste.

It rained really hard for about 30 minutes, but it was still warm.

We sure miss the Archibalds and hope to visit again sometime soon.

July 4th + Camping at Refugio

It was nice to have a day off in the middle of the week to celebrate the 4th. We went to the Jensen's for a BBQ and pool party, then had the Haycocks over for homemade ice cream.

Then we prepared for beach camping at Refugio that weekend. We brought the kayaks and had a really fun time. Well most of us did. I was sick on the sidelines, but it was good to have a break from our normal routine.

We used a stroller bunting bag as her sleeping bag. It was perfect.

She is good about putting on sunblock, even when I don't ask.

We were so lucky to have our good friend, Anthony Buhay, take Isaiah's newborn photos. The photos are so precious to us. Here are some highlights. Isaiah is one week old.
